Reading your invoice: line items, taxes and totals

What each part of an invoice means, and why the total is what it is.

Line items

Each service is a line with its billing period and price. A setup fee, a domain or an add-on is its own line. Credit applied to the invoice appears as a negative line.

Taxes

Tax is calculated from the billing address in your Account Details at the rate that applies there, and shown as its own line. Businesses with a registered tax number can have it recorded on the account so the rate is applied correctly.

Due date and status

The due date is printed at the top. Unpaid means payment is expected; Paid that it has been received; Overdue that the due date has passed; Canceled that the invoice no longer applies.

Downloading a copy

Every invoice has a PDF download and a print view, both showing our company details and yours as they were when the invoice was issued.
