Privacy policy
in plain words.
What we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we use information to run MniaPOS for you, we never sell it, and salons stay in charge of their own records.

Who we are
MniaPOS is the point of sale for salons and spas, provided by MniaPOS ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we do with information about you when you visit this website, when your business uses MniaPOS, and when you are a client or an employee of a business that uses it.
The MniaPOS Hub phone app has its own privacy policy, which explains what the app does on your phone.
What we collect from you
- When you write to us: your name, email address and what you tell us, from the contact form or a support request.
- When you open an account: your name, business name, address, email, phone number, and your plan, invoices and payments.
- When you sign in: your sign-in details, kept protected, and records of sign-ins, such as the time and the network address, to keep your account safe.
- When you visit this website: the technical details any website receives, such as your network address, browser and the pages you open, in our server logs.
Information salons keep in MniaPOS
A business that uses MniaPOS keeps its own records in it: its clients, appointments, tickets, gift cards and loyalty points, and its employees, their hours, pay and time off. That information belongs to the business, which decides what it keeps and why. We store and process it only to provide MniaPOS to that business, following its instructions.
- Clients of a salon: name, phone number, email, birthday, visits, services, notes, loyalty points, ratings and signed service waivers, entered at the front desk, at the check-in tablet or when booking online. A salon may send booking confirmations and a short rating email after a visit.
- Employees of a salon: name, contact details, role, schedule, hours, commission, tips and pay. PINs are stored protected, never in plain text. When an employee clocks in from MniaPOS Hub, the phone's location at that moment is checked against the store.
If you are a client or an employee of a salon, please ask the salon first about the information it keeps about you. We will help the salon answer.
How we use information
- To provide MniaPOS: run your registers, sync your stores, send the emails your business turns on, and keep your account working.
- To bill you for your plan and to answer your messages and support requests.
- To keep MniaPOS secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To tell you about changes to MniaPOS, your plan or these terms.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
Card payments
Card payments in a salon go through the business's own Stripe or Helcim account, and card numbers are handled by them, never by MniaPOS. MniaPOS keeps the card brand, the last four digits, the amount and the tip with the ticket. When you pay for your plan on this website, your card is handled by our payment processor in the same way.
How we protect it
Information travels encrypted (HTTPS) between your devices and our servers. Sign-in details and payment credentials are stored protected, each business sees only its own records, staff see only what their role allows, and administrative actions are kept on record. No system is perfectly secure, so if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while you use MniaPOS, and invoices and payment records as long as tax and accounting law requires. A business's records are kept while it uses MniaPOS; when it leaves, we delete them after a reasonable time to let it ask for a copy, unless the law requires us to keep them. Messages to us are kept as long as needed to help you.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update your account details after you sign in, and choose which emails you receive. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of information about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how it is used. To ask, write to us with our contact form. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
MniaPOS and this website are for businesses and their teams, not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. A salon may keep a record of a young client's visit, under the salon's own responsibility.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top, and tell account holders about important changes. Questions about privacy: write to us with our contact form.
If the English and Spanish versions of this policy differ, the English version applies.
