Supported readers

Two processors, one smooth checkout.

Choose the processor that suits your salon. You set up your reader in your back office, and MniaPOS does the rest at the register.

Stripe Reader S700 · T600

Clients tip on the reader at 15%, 18% or 20%, or the tip typed at the register is used. Cancel from the register, and voiding a payment refunds it to the card.

Helcim Smart Terminal

Card payments at the register, plus a Helcim gateway for paying invoices online, saved cards and refunds in your back office. In US and Canadian dollars.

At the register

Every tender on one ticket

Split a ticket between a card and cash, a gift card and loyalty points, or any of your own tender types. Every payment is recorded with the ticket.

  • Cash, credit, debit and checks
  • Gift cards, gift certificates and loyalty points
  • Cash App, Venmo and Zelle recorded as tenders
Paying a ticket

Only the last four digits

MniaPOS keeps the last four digits of a card on the ticket, never the card number.

Your processor, your account

Payments go through your own Stripe or Helcim account, on their terms and their rates.

Cards need the internet

Card readers need a connection; cash and other tenders keep working when it drops.

Questions

About payments.

What does card processing cost?

Processing is between you and Stripe or Helcim, at the rates in your account with them.

Can I adjust a tip after the payment?

Not on the reader. Choose the tip before the card is presented, on the reader or at the register.

Can clients pay with a gift card on the reader?

Gift cards are taken at the register as their own tender, alongside the card reader.
